I am Ruby and I find food magical.
Food has the power to transform an evening, silence someone with a perfect bite, or be the pinnacle of a day. I love everything about it—being around ingredients, exploring dishes, poring over menus, and imagining how different ingredients can come together to create something new, and of course I love people who love food, too.
I am partial to produce that is sustainably grown, I love breakfast radishes with salty butter, cinnamon-y coffee cake with an espresso, lightly steamed seasonal vegetables dressed simply with lemon juice, olive oil, and salt—especially when that combo hits the perfect equilibrium of shimmy-worthy goodness. I love a good yogurt sauce and appreciate when a producer nails their craft: Noosa circa 2017, La Salumeria, Superhuman Granola, Marco Colzani’s Pistachio spread, or anything from Hungry Ghost in Northampton, MA.
